No. The SUNDEK color is an integrated color with the final two applications being an acrylic finish coat, it is not susceptible to fading. 12. Can you correct drainage and low spots.
We will try to improve on the low spot, but generally we usually move the low spot somewhere else or make it twice as big and half as deep so the sun will dry it up quicker. Because the SUNDEK Finish Coat is non-porous your surface will not soak up water like concrete.

13. How do you treat cracks in concrete prior to the SUNDEK application?
Thin cracks are filled with urethane. Wide cracks 1/8" or better are filled with epoxy, welding the separated pieces of concrete together, and cutting in additional expansion joints in the concrete. Shrinkage cracks require no additional treatment.

14. Will the cracks reoccur?
Answer 1) Though we do everything possible to treat cracks and to eliminate 90% of them, it is possible they may reoccur. If they do, it is usually always in the form of a hairline which is not objectionable as it is largely hidden in the texture. However, if a crack becomes objectionable, and is large enough to fill, we will repair it for you for a small service charge.

Answer 2) No it won't, if you choose our "Custom Scoreline Effect" design? We take all your existing cracks and grind them open, separating the product where the concrete is separated. Just like we do with expansion joints. Then, before we apply the Finish Coat we will grind additional lines into the texture to create a pleasing design and guarantee your deck from cracking.

19. Do you apply the material to cantilever faces and coping stones?
We do apply SUNDEK to cantilever faces and coping stones. Though application over coping stones is a matter of personal preference, it is often advisable to coat the stones unless they are exceptionally new. (They like concrete are porous). If not coated, they tend to look old and dirty after the SUNDEK installation is complete. In addition, the older copings, which have deep lips, can be filled in so the coping stones are level with the deck giving a more modern cantilevered look. The coping and Cantilever can be made to look like Brick if you choose at a fraction of the cost of Brick.
